This is something along the lines of what Prodigy was saying. In highschool, there seems to be two way the relationships can be developed. 1.)The sexual side can come first and then it can turn into a relationship 2.) The relationship comes first and then over a very long period of time it becomes increasingly sexual. The second tends to be those superlong term relationships where the guy never really gets very much (or atleast for a long time). These relationships often come out of guys just "asking girls out" instead of escalating/getting the sexual stuff down first. I'm not saying its bad, its just a preference of what type of relationship you want to have. The first type usually results from a guy and a girl hooking up for an extended period of time, and then calling it a relationship OR a guy "gaming a girl up" and making it obviously sexual before turning it into a relationship. These relationships usually happen with very alpha guys because the girl wants him so bad due to his apparant disinterest in her. I just came up with this the other day so obviously, there are exceptions to this. Especially when dealing with sluts. -Contempt

I think those relationships apply to life in general with exceptions obviously.
Virgins usually want the second so it depends if your willing to wait/how much you like the girl.
