Some people are getting pissed off by the spammers. To deal with this we could either
A) make it necessary to activate accounts before being able to post
B) put in one of those verification things with the funky letters and numbers

I'm not sure how easy that is or if its even possible but it's a thought.

I think you're talking about a Captcha. The only problem with that is that it would become annoying for regular members, really fast.

The activation thing would be preferred. The problem with that is, I'm not sure it's available on proboards without paying, or maybe not available at all. Then again, it might be. Captchas might not be available either.
