I don't know much about this exercise thing as I only do calisthenics at home. And I don't really take multivitamins anymore (if you were implying "multi" as that) because I have taken so much multivitamins over the years it's not even funny. Like 2 - 3 years maybe? It seems the effect has lessened and I may need to take more than necessary.
I want to use protein powder but I'm at a loss for whether I should get creatine as well. There are so many brands but are they all the same or is there a specific brand that works better compared to others?

There are so many brands but are they all the same or is there a specific brand that works better compared to others? First of all, you either want this or you don't. I don't know how is not a legit excuse. Get a friend who lifts to teach you, hell just pick some random guy who lifts and ask him some questions or ask if him if he'll let you lift with him and to help give you some pointers. Most people at the gym are extremely helpful and will always answer a few of your questions. We all started somewhere after all. If doing these is really a problem for you I suggest buying a book that teaches you a few fundamental exercises. I personally just bought "The Encylopedia of Modern Bodybuilding" by Arnold Schwarzenegger a few months back. Worth every penny. I would start getting the feel of working out and doing some research on creatine before getting any creatine. Creatine can be extremely helpful, but you should understand what it does before you buy it. Any protein powder will do. Don't go dropping $50 on any protein yet, but any protein powder will do.

I'M SPEAKING FROM ABSOLUTE EXPERIENCE I lift EVERY summer and I know what I'm doing and I know EXACTLY what works because I am living proof of it lol. I even have pics to back it. Go to the website bub. No lie it helps. Aaron4prez is very right too. I don't know how is a horrible excuse. Just recently, I was at Wal-Mart buying some protein and I wasn't sure which one to get. I asked this random guy in the same section as me and he turned out to be a bodybuilder lol. Then I randomly asked this guy I worked with if he lifts and he told me yeah and all of the supplements he uses. Creatine doesn't build muscle. You take it before a workout and it gives your body extra energy so that you can last longer in the gym, thus increasing how much your muscles tear. The more your muscles tear, the stronger they will build up to prevent themselves from getting worn out the same way again. When you take whey protein after a workout, it supplements your body because your muscles are mostly protein. So when you see guys that are ripped and have huge muscles, its basically from protein because that is what essentially what makes them that way. If you or your parents don't have the money to buy a book (which is way more complicated in my opinion) this website will do. www.gain-weight-muscle-fast.com/I have been using it for 3 years and it has helped me soooo much. The information is free. You just have to have the discipline to read and learn what you are doing.

That stuff about creatine is really only partially true, yes it gives you energy but only a select type of energy, thus enabling you to finish those last few reps. But it also pushes water to the muscle cells giving you more of a pump, this makes you look bigger but also helps to build muscle.it also helps with recovery time. Also protein isn't everything. Those big ripped guys are not that way because of protein alone. Most of them use a good combination of supps. But you'll be fine with some whey protein within 45 mins after your workout and maybe a high protein meal replacement or casien protein shake during the day or before bed. Try creatine if you want but cycle it

True creatine is not necessary. I don't even use it and I still get good results.

Warning Personal Experience: creatine made me bulk up alot (all water weight, I know, but I looked GREAT and felt it too) I also noticed a bit of an improvement in the gym. I'm actually starting another cycle tomorrow.
