Something I found helpful was to decide that every hot girl had something wrong with them that would ruin their chances with me.

YOu are giving them a higher value then yourself like bubbz said.

You could see a 9 at her locker and go whoaaaa shes too hot for me.

Or you could see a 9 at her locker and say yeah shes damn hot but she picks her nose.

Start SELECTING girls not because of their looks, but because of their personality. It's kind of like what Andrew said with finding some flaw about them. Learn to actually go for girls with good looks AND A GOOD PERSONALITY. Don't put so much value on their looks.
