its the point when escalation begins to ramp up, its less an example, and more of a physical feeling.

IOM is just when the escalation starts isn't it? I think it can be a physical sign. Like the first time you go in to grab her hand or go in for the kiss. She'll either accept it, reject it, or leave. If it's either of the first two, it's on.
