Hey guys wondering if any of you have read Comedy Writing Secrets by Melvin Helitzer? David D recommends it but i want to know your opinions on it. If not any other books videos or whatever on comedy you recommend?

Mate, taking stand up comedy classes would be a first. Then again you could take up improv-drama classes as a backup. They boost up your confidence so much. Last thing, its actually better that you are "self-amused", meaning you can laugh about yourself without taking it too far, even the littlest things make you laugh and you even laugh at jokes that some people don't get. Look up the joke; "The Aristocrats". It's a long and fucked-up joke, I mean its "fucked-up". Its probably on youtube, I especially like the South Park version. Cartman laughs while Kyle, Kenny and Stan don't get it.

man no way am i going near those improv classes we were forced to do one for school lol those jokes really are fucked up though
