So my roommate and best friend at college. Is a larger than life character. SUPER alpha, super loud, super doesn't give a shit about what anyone thinks, and hes hysterical.
His dream career is to become a professional wrestler. Yeah, like WWE John Cena Hulk Hogan wrestling.
Now if you had told me one year ago that I would become an avid wrestling fan, I would have LAUGHED IN YOUR FACE. HARD. It's TOTALLY not my personality or my thing at all.
But then I thought about it, and I dunno how many of you know anything about wrestling, but while it may be choreographed, you have to be incredibly talented to be in the business.
Besides in-ring athleticism which I'm not going to get into, watch some promos by some wrestling greats. It's these guys' JOB to be alpha. It's these guys JOB to be able to talk AT people. These guys get PAID to cut promos and AMOG other people who get PAID to cut promos and AMOG!
In any case, after watching a bunch of good wrestling talkers for awhile I found MYSELF become an even better talker. Now I don't mean like I was walking around saying catchphrases and telling people they couldn't see me, but there's a certain confidence rush that comes from being able to cut a REAL-LIFE promo on someone giving you shit. My roommate has been watching and studying wrestling all his life and it's literally impossible to phase or AMOG him. It's impossible. I promise.
In any case I'm attaching a video from arguably the best talker in the business. If you guys want I can put great promo videos on my blog, or if you know of any good ones send them to me in a PM.
I totally wanna promote discussion here, and I'm always down to talk wrestling if there's any fans.
