I'm gonna be honest, I disagree with quite a bit here. I'm not a fashion expert and everyone has their own style and yours works for you. Depending on your style, athletic shorts can definitely be rocked (not to parties but at school). I'm mostly just not into brand name shit all the time. It can come off as try hard (we refer to a kid as Lacoste because that's pretty much all he wears) and I'm not made of money. Also I hate being a billboard for some company. I definitely agree on the shorts about black tan and pastels. Neutrals work well with more colour up top. I agree on the accessories to, just don't have my ear pierced (not my style)

I respect your opinion and I see where your coming from. It's just the way I see it most high school girls are immature and shallow, like the HB9 I mentioned, which allows you to throw on name brand clothing with little to no thought and look "good" in their eyes. I wouldn't say a RL tee or a Lacoste tee is as much of a "walking billboard" sort of tee as graphic tees from AE, Abercrombie, Pacsun, and etc that you see 75% of high school guys wearing.

Yea H&M's fit on me is just about perfect and the price is right, but the quality isn't really up to par.

I guess but I'm a fucking growing machine, I out grow before it wears out. I HATE the material and colors of their polos (I know what you mean about that). Love their v necks and some hoodies though.

Yeah dude. Nice to see someone whose a little bit preppier on here!
I go to school in the south so naturally I'm gonna be a little bit preppier, but I consider myself on the edgy side of preppy. Not like ripped denim edgy, I mean like v-neck or other things that make me stand out from the hordes and hordes of cookie cutter preppy.
I like this post, It's a good outline of a more preppy look, which a good majority of girls LOVE (especially where I am)

^what's your opinion on brands? I wear that style without the brands. Are you from a relatively wealthy area lurker? Just wondering cause I never see anybody wear those brands much due to cost. Like I have a JL (not sure if JL is common there but it's pretty much a nice expensive designer brand) polo and a couple Guess and Diesel shirts. Other than that, relatively nice just not brand name.
Also you mentioned online sales, where at?

PS
When you get to college especially in the southern part of the united states, don't ever wear cargos.

There's something about cargo shorts that are the LEAST fratty piece of clothing out there. Even if you're not planning on joining a frat, it's one of the least fashionable pieces of clothing

cargos aren't socially acceptable because mostly its a sign of highschool kids.
I'm not even exaggerating here, if you try to talk to a girl while wearing cargos she will deny you.
You are a social liability.
The second day I was in the state of Mississippi I was wearing cargos. A girl came upto me and said " are you a carpenter? No, then why are you wearing cargos?"
