I've read The Secret, The Power of Now, and A Brave New World...
Firstly, WHY are you reading all that?
Secondly, you can cross A Brave New World off your list tbh. It may have some weird new societal rules and shit but the main plot is fucking boring and mostly drama....

Don't watch the hitchhiker's guide.Read it1 agreed. Also Brave New World is a pretty damn good book for the message, the plot is a bit slow. The great gatsby is fucking terrible BECUASE of english classes. On its own merits its ok. War and peace is boring and long, be prepared. I would also recommend reading the fight club book if you havent already. Why the quran?

well the bible is cenrtal to alot of western literature, so even though I am anti-religion I would recommend reading it to get perspective on those other documents. I dont know alot of modern literature which would require the quran to understand.

I'm just interested in religion. I don't plan on reading every page of either the Bible or the Quran but there's so many misconceptions about the religion I think it will be interesting.
As for War and Peace, I started reading it in grade 8. I got bored ~30 pages in haha. Probably a good thing as I doubt I would have taken anything from it then.
