I've been meaning to start a thread for this for a little while, but i didn't get around to it until now. Anyways, last year i was pretty damn fat. I had no muscle whatsoever and taking my shirt off in front of people wasn't exactly my favorite thing to do. When i broke up with my girlfriend of 2 years this january and realized that i needed a little bit of help gaming girls, i was also motivated to transform my body. So i then read numerous nutrition books and found some weightlifting routines to start off with. I started off at 175 pounds (and i'm 5' 6") and am now down to 139 pounds. So i have lost well over 40 pounds of fat (and i don't know how much i gained in muscle). I don't have any pics from the very start since i didn't come up with the idea of making a journal per se until april. So we'll just call april day 1. Also, if anybody needs help with nutrition/weightlifting feel free to pm me Day 1 picsPhoto on 2011-03-23 at 22.19 #3 by zdf123, on Flickr Untitled by zdf123, on Flickr Untitled by zdf123, on Flickr Untitled by zdf123, on Flickr Untitled by zdf123, on Flickr 3 month picsphoto.JPG by zdf123, on Flickr photo.JPG by zdf123, on Flickr photo.JPG by zdf123, on Flickr photo.JPG by zdf123, on Flickr photo.JPG by zdf123, on Flickr

Damn dude, looking good! Might want to try and add some meat to your pecs Thanks! Yea, i've been trying to get my chest a bit bigger (i don't want to look like a fridge though), but i'm still satisfied with a 210 bench at 140 pounds.

Incline and Decline dumbell press are good for chest. I don't do barbell though cause my wrist but its good too.

Hit your triceps hard and you'll be able to bench a good lot more. Throw in pull ups and you're golden

Throw in pull ups and you're golden That wouldn't increase his bench by a lot unless his tries become absolutely jacked because tries are more of a secondary muscle when benching, if that. Unless he does close-grip barbell press which is specifically for tries but he is referring to a chest bench press.. fyi

Can't do decline though due to shoulder problems and it doesn't help that much anyways (compared to flat and incline). What i think is really going to help my bench go up though is the addition of legs to my workout. Up until this point i didn't really care about working legs since my only sports are ultimate frisbee and ski team, but i realized that working my lower body will make my upper body bigger so we'll see how that has an impact.

Yeah man incline will help alot because if your upper chest is bigger you look bigger in general. I do flyes in the incline position also
