I've been contemplating to delete my facebook for months simply because of the huge distraction its been causing in my life. If I ever want to get in touch with someone I can just text or call them.
How much am I limiting myself socially by deleting my fb? Would it also limit my gaming success?

if you have to delete your FACEBOOK just cause you can't stop getting distracted then you'll never get any self discipline. C'mon man...
also you're limiting yourself massively, all events and shit are done through facebook and it's a useful tool

I have deleted my facebook for months on end a few times. Extremely rewarding to realize how much I don't need it. When I came back on I barely went on it. Either way there is some truth to Sloth's words, its not a massive limit, hell it doesn't even have to be a limit if you know what you're doing, but sometimes events do go on there, what I noticed is you usually find out anyway, find out last minute, or don't find out at all (unless its through word of mouth since you can't even see the pics ); but it depends on how close you are to whoever's having the event. I decided to keep mine for uni, but lately I have been overdoing it, let's not go on it together <3
