10 years ago, back when i was 7, i was brought to the united states illegally without my consent. Now, 10 years later, im stuck in a country where i dont belong. i cant get a license, i cant vote, i cant get id, i cant do shit. so tell me guys, what would you do if you were in my situation? my parents are illegal too and that is the main reason im dirt poor. although im quite known around the school, i feel isolated. everyone else is talking about when they are getting their license and celebrating while im stuck knowing that i will not be getting one anytime soon.
i grew up in this country, i dont remember the years that i lived in my old country. good thing a new law was recently approved that allows illegals to get college financial aid because if not for that, i might not have attended a college. however, even with financial aid, i cannot get a degree. i dont know what i am going to do in the meantime until i find a way to become legal. this was not my choice, my future was completely decided for me by my parents.
now that i have finally got this off my chest for the first time, what are your guys' advice? i cant imagine the situation where im going to have to confess to my friends and all the people that know me that i was not born in this country and am illegal. i dont think i'll be able to drive friends around or have other people in the car because if i get pulled over at any time, ill have to tell the police officer that i dont have a license.
i used to get depressed over this issue but im slowly getting past it. i cant even find a fucking job because i dont have a SSN. life is hard. i dont even know most of my family, i feel like im not any nationality, im simply human.
now you know.

Reading this it's clear you seem to have some shame in that fact. It wasn't your choice so you have nothing to be ashamed of, like you said, you were little when you were brought here and you obviously don't have a say or anything like that. Be proud of who you are, yeah it is illegal but you aren't lesser of a person. I guess you're option would do some research or talk to your parents and find out how you can get a license, whether that means you have to become legalized or not.

first of all, keep your head up man!!!I mean shiiit good or bad your parents created an opportunity for you to create a better future for yourself. Stay positive man, you never know what the future has waiting for you. Keep looking into it, and keep searching for opportunities.
I'm actually in a somewhat similar situation. Being on a student visa, I'm not allowed to work anywhere, unless it's off campus. Going at commnity college, you're not exactly going to find work..thus I'm stuck feeling like a mooch, constantly dependant on my family and friends to get around and shit..

for a matter of fact, i felt the same when i was younger. Its not that im not the same nationality but i got a little bit darker skin than other kids and i felt isolated, but happily other people accepted me, well sometimes they didnt, but i dont worry anymore . But for you ID problem, i dont really know. I once read that USA army will recruite immigrants....

Fake ID is stupid and basically instant deportation. I'd say research laws and try to find some kind of loophole for becoming a citizen. With recent events on the border of Mexico, though, it's going to be tough. All I can tell you is research all you can for any possible way to become a citizen so you won't have to worry anymore.

Bro, you have no idea how many people are shit stuck in the same exact situation as you. Many even worst, I live in philly and its full of illegal African immigrants, some how they all seem to manage and do fine so I'm sure you can too. You have a few options. 1. Borrow papers, hard to do but if your parents have connects with other immigrants one of them might have a child that is a US citizen and they'll let you borrow his SSN & birth certificate to get a license and a job as long as you give them a percentage of your profit or give them all your tax returns. 2. Somehow find a girl that is over 18 and marry her, she can legally keep you here and file papers for you. Withing a couple years max you'll have a Green card, i have no idea where you live but this goes back to what I said before..talk to your parents and see if they know anyone. Around here illegals can pay up to 10k or more for fixed marriages. 3. Don't know if your old enough but try the military.. 4. If you want to drive badly enough, get yourself an international drivers license. They are completely legal in the US, you need someone back home to rig you a license with your orginal papers and send it here then you go to: www.idlservice.com/ to apply. ^Cops can't really check for those so you'd be in the clear. Best of luck to you man, remember your not the only one in this situation. Imagine the immigrants who have 4.0+ GPA's and can't even pursue higher learning simply because they don't have a few papers, its sad.
