As of recently I have been going through deep depression. I sometimes feel like there is no point to my life. The reason why I feel like that is because of my strict parents, my gf, and my so-called friends. I have a girlfriend but I get depressed because of her past. She always talks to me about how much fun she use to have and of all her past relationships. I get jealous because im a very shy person so I never really talked to girls. Everytime she talks about her Ex I get mad. I always feel like im competing with her. Another reason why I feel depressed is beacause everytime I want to go out none of my friends want to. I have tried time and time to feel better but I cant. Can someone please help me get my life back on track?

I will be honest with you, at times in the begging of this past school year, even though I had all I could ask for, I had random spurts of depression. Because at my new school I had all the friends I could ask for but I was losing contact with some of my BEST FRIENDS. Even though our situations were a lot different. You can't be over-dramatic about it, yeah it sounds like it would be something mean to say but really it isn't. You will randomly feel alone, shut out, and just flat out like shit; but in reality you do have people who have your back and you have a girl and even though your parents are strict, THEY ALL LOVE YOU. Especially your parents, but it's something you need to take up with them. You can't let those moments of weakness get to you, you need to be able to look yourself in the mirror and learn to LOVE what you see so nothing can set you back. I am sure your case is a lot worse than mine since I had virtually nothing to be depressed about and maybe it wasn't even depression but you still don't have it bad. Each situation you are in is solvable by simply talking. Do you know how many kids on this site or in high school in general would kill to have a girlfriend, let alone their first kiss? Or a group of friends who they can talk to and hang out with at lunch? The kid who sits alone thinking how many kids are staring and talking about him because he's a "loner". So in reality dude, you need to man up and look yourself in the mirror and think about your life and realize you have what you need to be happy you just have to embrace it, and if that means repairing some relationships or fix a couple things upsetting you then fucking do it.

yeah i hated my life too, but i found out that there is no point in waiting for next (perfect) life. I would go and smoke a joint with you, but shit is that we live 10000 miles away so i give you this: YOU are the most POWERFUL person in your life. Take a minute a think about this.

Like danzy said, go see a psychiatrist. Then tell your girlfriend to stop talking about her ex because it makes you jealous/uncomfortable. Then see what happens, but don't tolerate insensitivity.

this may sound selfish to you but dont worry about what other people think. if your girls talkin about her ex and you dont like it, tell her up front. confront people with your problems or your gonna carry them with you.
