Okay so I know this girl since last year and we're pretty cool and flirty. I usually see her before one of my classes and give her a hug. Yesterday while hugging her, I asked her if she was going to homecoming and she said "I don't know yet. I don't have a date." Well I don't know what happened but it this just slipped out of my mouth, "Well you could go with me, I'll be your date." Now keep in mind I said this in a playfull, flirty manner but I think she took this seriously and replied with, "I'll think about it."I thought she would have thought about it by today but she told me she'll tell me by the end of the week. I don;t have the time to wait for this girl's reply, homecoming is in 2 weeks and I want a date this year but I don't know whether it would be a dick move to ask another girl while still waiting for her reply.

Seriously, do whatever the fuck you want. I would just ask another girl. "I'll think about it" is bad news and is pretty much girls thinking they're saying no "nicely" most times, but that may not be the case. Maybe she's waiting on other options.

To be honest, I guarantee it's because she's waiting for someone else to ask her. No offense, but you're really just a back up in case no one else does. She likes you, she just wants someone else...
If you're okay with being a second choice, that's fine... but I'd ask someone else, personally.

yeah i suspected she was waiting on someone else so i had a backup date just in case but she said yes today and she said the reason why she had to wait in order to tell me was because she had to ask her parents if she could go or not. lame excuse in my mind but she's hot enough for it to slide aha
