Be free from society, how you dress, what you eat, what you say ect. .. Be free from this materialistic world that tells you what to buy, how to speak .. The problem with people is that they are afraid how society will look at them if they don't conform, it means more than that whole "I don't give a fuck" thingy that guys here sing. Don't be mindless basically .. Man that guy is emotionally fucked aswell, the dark side of enlightenment. If you wanna live "fuck what you know, forget about what you think you know" .. Oh and body lang, tonality ect haha, simplicity basically

You do realize that is unrealistic and entirely over dramatized to make a point right?

The ideals of tyler durden are not something you should focus on. What you should focus on is the fact that he HAS beliefs, and has great body language and tonality, and is a perfect example of an alpha. Specifically, how he takes a minute to respond to people, and never really answers there questions, but goes off on something interesting to him. He talks to people like there a bunch of five year olds, and is entirely unresponsive, in both body language and to questions. He also very is confident and slow in his movements. He's never sucked into anyone elses reality, everyone is pulled into his, in fact, everyone he comes into contact with is pulled into his so intensely that he creates a fucking CULT out of all these people. They had to extremely dramatize this stuff in the movie to create the badass image of him that they did, learn from it.
Trust me, my fucking picture on these forums is tyler. No one has seen fight club more times then me.

Fight Club is not that good lol I got over being obsessed with it after about 5 times...
The 4th time, I stopped midway through because I was bored. The 5th time, I had sex to it. Haven't watched it since...
You can't escape from this society. You are absolutely subjected to live by its rules. Money is everything. You can't get anywhere without it. You can't even fulfill your basic survival needs without it. And you can't get money without having a job and being someone's bitch.
Your only other choice is to run away. Run into the woods and live like a caveman. Survive on yourself. But then... your life is focused on the next meal and surviving...
I've been wrestling with this, though. What if you just walked away from everything you owned and everyone you knew? Just started driving til you ran out of gas and set up a new life in that city. Started from scratch and played your life like a game. The only fault I've found is that in about a year, your life will be right back to how it was... and you'll be wanting to start over again.

Your Canadian so i don't expect you to know much ;D your an AFC so I don't expect you to know much... but seriously if you are that obsessed with TD you may have issues... I think I've seen it about 10 times and took a lot from it but that doesn't mean I follow it blindly... The whole point is to have your own reality, not to be suckered into someone else's, including Tyler's.

beyond the massive about of willpower and other mental instabilities of the tyler durden persona every single event in fight club, the movie more so then the book, is actually possible. The chemistry and the psychology could allow for such events to transpire. Project Mayhem is actually based on a real life group known as the cacophony society. I do make one small caveat, you can't shoot yourself in the mouth and still be standing. How do you live the tyler durden lifestyle? I'm more then willing to answer that but first...Imma gonna flame. @savant pretty much spot on answer. Of course grammatically off, but who gives a fuck about grammar on te interwebs @canadian kid Its not based on real life events, so its not over dramatized. It is a social commentary, and should be viewed as such, not as a revolutionary movement to be followed. Its supposed to point out the apathy and fucking bullshit society is based around. Tyler Durden himself is still a badass no matter how you spin it, crazy yes, but highly attractive, and as such we chodes want to copy him cheesypoofs(TROLL). You're an ass. But you're also funny. So not a single fuck is given. Contempt. Most of those traits aren't necessarily attractive, mostly douchey, but your totally right with the self-reality and slowed movements. nick. I'm tempted to get an admin to hack your account and rename you Sartre. Personally I've seen the movie so many goddamn times I can replay the whole movie in my brain if I get bored. This is mostly due to my love of every single person involved in making this movie, but I will admit the only times I've really ENJOYED the movie was the first two times. The first time because its a badass film, and the second time because you realize the narrator is bats hit crazy and all these little cool details pop out. And you can't get money without having a job and being someone's bitch. This is bullshit, and you know it. I am against labels, but for the sake of argument I'm an agorist (Free market anarchist) and I think money is a useful tool. But you don't need to be someones bitch to make it. If you truly believe this, there is something wrong with your head, that or you don't know how the great men of the world made their fortunes. Heres the thing. We like stability, we like security, we like destiny. Total freedom is scary. I am only know coming to grips with this concept, and I'm scared out of my wits. But a very dark, tyler burden shaped, part of me knows what I have to do, and how to do it, now that I have this freedom. You can't walk away from everything, because your memory will still be there. You may not be there currently, but it still affects you. So now that I'm done being a total prick, lets answer that question. How do you live the Tyler Durden lifestyle? Lets determine the Tyler Durden lifestyle. It is doing what you want, when you want to. Not bowing to anyone, or anything, and doing what you think is right and/or necessary. You don't follow the crowd, and you revel in your primal passions. You're a king and a true man. How do you get this lifestyle. You accept it as your reality. You question every premise that you're offered, and you assert your own. You educate yourself. You have fun. You workout. You change culture actively. This shift from taking shit, to being a man of this caliber, to be a king almost, requires more willpower then most people are willing to even consider. The movie describes it best near the end. "People see themselves as they'd like to be, they don't have the courage you do to just run with it." Thats the answer. See yourself as you'd like to be, and then be that way. No 13 step bullshit, just be. On a side note modeling yourself after tyler durden is fairly ironic seeing as he is anti-conformist. Also savant posted a link which pretty much describes how to be your own tyler Durden. alexattitude.com/archives/167

yea guys really do not understand the strength of reality. This topic is deep and could go on for a week but I wanna keep it simple. What's the one thing you noticed about tyler in the movie ? (Btw iv only watched it once) .. His in his own reality, that's why I encourage guys to be douches for a while, to not put up ur hand in class, to not wait in a line to get ur ticket and just to walk straight to the front also always take responsiblity for what you do, always. Cos ultimately that's what girls need and what guys look up to. A solid dude on a mission. The problem is while you try to change to become a better person you will run into many haters, many people telling you that you wrong and are a wanna be and that's when guys slow down and look deeper into the issue. DON'T, go even more harder my rep has been -45632 for how long who cares this weekend I'm gonna be doing what iv been doing for the last 10 months. The answer to ALL your questions is: have a strong reality .. How do you kiss a girl ? How do you get head ? How do you make girl friends ? How do you own a party ? .. Really its that easy, and how do u get a strong reality ?? Like alex/jeffy says - core confidence, unreactiveness, offering value and being assertive. And you can work on it everyday of your life. The end
EDIT: People will only tell you shit when your uncalibrated but no effort no reward and once your on point life will be very good, becos you will be incharge of your own life
