I understand the C&F concept and i tried it; it works like magic. My problem is i don`t why people laugh. I download 2 books on comedy about they are just simply too big for me to read. I m having a very busy life right now, its grade 12 man you know.. So i was wondering if you guys know any article on ``why something is funny` (something like that) or maybe a short 100 page book that talks about the basic principles, or even an video. I think my game would be a lot better if i knew why exactly what i said was funny.
Oh i also have my first approach under my belt. I was good. The hooked the set, and then left caz i know i m gonna meet them again. And anyways i dont have cell phone. Oh one girl from that just added me on Facebook, lol. I will post what i did on saturday.

yeah.
anything that is randomly ego-boosting is considered funny.
something so pathetic and unpredicted that people cant help but laugh.

One of the main reasons we laugh is to actually "bond" with other people. When you laugh together with someone, it creates a ton of rapport. So some ppl will laugh to seek rapport from higher status ppl.
According to Comedy Writing Secrets by Mel Helitzer, here are the main reasons why we laugh:
-laughing out of surprise
-we laugh when we feel superior (i dont reccomend making the
chick feel superior to you)
-we laugh out of "instinct"
-we laugh out of incongruity
-we laugh out of ambivalence
-we laugh out of release of tension
-we laugh when we solve a puzzle
-we laugh to regress.
