Before my PU days: - I wasn't "normal", I always felt out of place and made things awkward.
My first few months of PU: - I still wasn't "normal", I felt I was too good for everyone else and I always had a tid bit of insecurity inside
Then I slowly realized... PEOPLE ARE JUST LIKE ME!!! I don't have to fake myself and "say certain things" or use canned openers or routines. It's about being yourself so that people will accept you for WHO YOU ARE. not some silly sentences you learned from "pick up gurus".
High school is about identity. Find yours. I'm a musician. I love it. I share stories about being up stage and touring states.
People are just like you. What have you got to hide? "materials" and "routines" are just fun things we share with each other. if you're going to base your entire life on those, you need to get a life. seriously.
find a hobby. find your passion. find your identity.
thanks, Grape

I think that this is very hard to relate to for some people because they don't have a specific identity. It's not that they aren't being themselves, but they may not be the crazy musician, or they are stuck behind a label.
People really need to realize that it's not about labeling yourself. I had trouble with that for a long time. After a while you just need to say "fuck em" and have fun.
Do what you want.
Do what's fun.
Do what makes you happy.
