I made a stunning realization yesterday.
So I was chilling with some family watching Inception, because that movie is boss, and DiCaprio is explaining how the whole dream-theft thing works to Juno. First they create the world of the dream, then they fill it with their subconscious. After the initial freaky architecture shit Juno does, she’s confused on why they both look relatively the same, even though in the universe of dreams everything and anything is possible. DiCaprio explains that what they have is their own self-perception, their residual self-image.
So why is Prodigy going on about a great movie and not talking about sex and stuff. Well Children, I’m getting there.
If you read anything I post you will quickly realize that I do not hold much stock in the permeance of reality. In other words, I have done and seen things which make it hard for me to believe that reality is a solid and unchangeable thing. Its entirely our current reality could just be an elaborate dream, and if you’ve dropped acid you’ve probably come to this conclusion too. Now there are some powerful implications if you have any belief in this idea.
Like overlaying your own reality over the world. Dont like your life, remake it, dont like who you are, remake yourself. Want something impossible, dream it, accomplish it. Life is truly stranger then fiction, and you can make anything happen. In fact holding this contrary individual reality is one of the more attractive things a man can have because he has direction and drive, his world is fun and full of adventure. Most girls are looking for just that, a fun guy (romantic) with his own dreams (successful)
But this is not the big realization. Read any philosophy, self-help, or even David DeAngelo and you’ll see that.
The important part is residual self-image.
If you exist contrary to the world, if you make the world your bitch, then there is nothing to dictate who you are, how attractive you are, except you. The problem with completely rewriting your total self-image, looks and all, is that we have been raised to believe that reality is consensual, that it is the beliefs of others that dictate your world. It is much easier to steer your life in your own direction then change physical aspects of your life. If you can do that with willpower alone you will have discovered magic, and thats pretty badass.
The most important realization of residual self-image is that you will only get women you think you can get. If you think of yourself as a 6, you wont get a 7, that the sad truth. But if you give your self-image an 8 and workout/take care of yourself to get up to a 9 or 10 (which is easier since women judge more heavily on character then on looks, they still want a hottie though) I don’t care how fly you are, if you aren’t convinced your sexy, neither will she.
I don’t think there is a point to life, I’m still not convinced anything exists independent of my own inner-perception, but even with these deep philosophical doubts I still want to be happy, I still want to get the girl. The world is not going to keep me from being psychologically fulfilled, so I go out every day and I question my self, I break apart my old self like a frozen lake and I push myself until I am a raging river. And I found something else.
This whole process can become self-sustaining and unstoppable.
your brain is always validating the world with your beliefs, not the other way around (this is why religion is so powerful) If you believe strong enough the world becomes yours, and when you see the world becoming yours you feel like it is more and more likely, and so on and so forth. When you start changing your self-image it will be hard as hell, but stick to it, make it a habit, and it will happen.
If if you think all the ‘life could be a dream’ thoughts are bullshit, you’re still going to die, and your way of thinking is what is keeping you back from greatness. If you want solid proof of that look at every great leader in history.
Figure out who you are, figure out what you want, become that which you desire to become, and take what you want to take. There are no rules to this thing, just go out and get the girl.
even all this is stuff you could have figured out before if you looked. Heres my stunning realization:
This whole world is my fault. My reality has been dictated to me, as if I was a child someone was feeding. I have been afraid, weak, and most of all pathetic in my own eyes. My whole life I have felt that something has been wrong, but everyone believes this is how life should be.
Fuck that.
I want to climb mountains, build super-computers, fuck super models, write books, drive fast cars, live beyond the scope of your normal man.
We our are own worse demons, we make our lives the way they are, thats the sad fact of the world. Strangely enough the word demon comes from the greek word daimon, which is any spiritual being, traditionally gods. We may be our own worse enemy, but we have the key to salvation.
SO FUCK PUA, FUCK FEAR, I AM DONE MAKING EXCUSES, SEE YOU GUYS LATER, I'M OFF TO MAKE THE WORLD MY BITCH.
