moving up in a small school

Hey what's up I live in a pretty small town ( <10000) and I've been working on my game and rapport for a while but I'm having a little trouble moving out of my normal friend group. They're not like super jere or anything but we're like a few steps down from being top of the chain. I chill with a few of the really popular kids but it seems hard to get in with more of them. Most kids party here likebdrink and ssmoke weed but I'm on probation right now so I cant really use that as something to have in common. I have a few friends who sometimes roll with the popular group and I have been hanging out with them on a more often basis as a starting point but I'd rather be accepted because I'm being me not because I 'k with them you know. I used to be a real loser asshole in middle school and although I. Know I 'ge changed I 'm still gong to school with these kids I 've known since I was like 4 Southey remember all that shit

To get in there with the more popular kids, the easiest way would be to just hang with the ones that are in that group more often and gradually befriend more members of the group. Its not like one day, they'll all just love you, especically in an alpha group, they won't warm to you instantly. If they see theyre friends warming up to you, laughing at your jokes etc, you'll work your way in smoothly.
