Taking value?

Alright so Andrew made a big thread all about classroom game and I was wondering if there was any way to take some value away from a person who jokes around with the teacher alot(class clown) and overall has alot of value in the class. My point is that this dude does almost anything in this class and had the teacher(a woman) cracking up. The only thing in my way to getting value from the teacher and gaining value in the class is this dude. Any ideas on how to take value away from him and onto me?

You take value from him, you lose value yourself. That's how I see it.
If you try to prove to others you're better, then others willsee this.
Just be funny. There's room for more than two high value people in the class.
Then try to befriend the dude. You'll get a lot more value that way, rather then taking it from him.

Well i usually see him joke around with another high value dude and they sort of take value from each other, they kind of neg each other in a way out loud in the class. They are friends of course but they seem to dominate the class AND the teacher as the teacher lets them do almost whatever they want. Also, I try to be funny but it doesn't quite work out for me. help me out? :]

exact same thing in my class, except the high-value guys are my best friends, so basically i dont need to be loud and funny because i have social proof from them
so start hanging out with them bro, try and let them rub off on you a bit and stop being shy
im still a bit shy, but its slowly fading which is good
the only problem is i dont wanna look like an ass in front of everyone haha, but i guess i really just shouldnt give a fuck about what others think. good luck bro <3

Ill try that but do you think there might be any ways to acquire more value then them? Because I don't want to be considered the kid that follows them around and isn't exactly alpha(no offense to you mate, im sure you know what your doing) you know what i mean?
