G'day mates, yeah we call our 'Prom' a 'Formal'. Anyway. Why did I put 'too early' you might ask. Well because its only been 4 weeks since we began school and ALMOST every boy that I know in year 12 is asking girls out for the formal already. BTW our formal is in like December or something and it doesn't count juniors. Only senior students are allowed. Moving on! Since its our last year in high school ( ) some of the boys are "seemingly" trying to get a girlfriend before they leave school. Hormones? Peer pressure? Dunno. I'm already planning to ask any girl that I like (if there is any left) out for the formal. And I don't think that's a good idea. It might classify me as needy like some of my other mates. Tomorrow it might get worse as tensions rise and boys will try to get the girl they want Or it could get better? What would you guys do if you were in this situation and how would you ask a girl out for a prom?

Just have fun, what I did for the last big school dance is I went with my group of girl friends, girls I set aside for friendship purposes, we had dinner, had a blast. Then I went to the dance with them, left them to do whatever they were going to do and danced, hung out with HB's, also had a good time. Afterwards I went to the after party with them.
You don't need to ask anybody, but if you do just keep in mind your goal. Having fun is mine, whats your?

Yeah... about that... She knows me, I tease her sometimes, do the little push-pull but a bit more pushing. See thing is I already asked her out. And got rejected! Anyway her initial response was like 1 sec of thinking in a stunned look. Here's what i did/said today: ME: Hey, (GIRL1)!GIRL1: Hey (me)!ME: I got something to ask you before i go home.GIRL1: Yeah sure what is it?ME: Yeah so, would you like to go to the formal with me?GIRL1: ... (<-- the stunned-and-also-deep-in-thought-face) ME: Lol, I'm asking you just for fun so... Yeah GIRL1: ... (still kinda stunned, I think she over looked the last thing i said.) GIRL1: No, I can-- I , I promised my friends that I wouldn't go with anyone to the formal. ME: (A bit stunned) Oh, really? that's ok, I just asked you cos--GIRL1: I'm so sorry (name) . It's just that I promised my frie-- ME: It's ok, its cool its still a few months awa--==*She keeps saying how sorry she is*==Then, I see one of her friends walk up from behind her and I give her a high five with a cool smile. ME: Lol, I just asked (GIRL1) out for the formal! ;DGIRL2: Really?! What'd she say?:3 ME: She said no... so... ;D GIRL2: What? Why (GIRL1)?! Don't worry, keep pestering her, she'll go on a guilt trip and come with you. Then I ejected by saying that I had to fetch my little brothers from their school. Got rejected, but not in a bad way, she is one of those hot-nerdy-girl types that hang out with her other nerdy HB5 and below friends.
