Hey guys, this is probably a stereotypical thread that's been answered and rebuked, but I'm lacking time and I just needed some advice.
So basically, school started three days ago (Junior year), I've changed a lot over the summer, feel like I'm more real to myself, have higher self esteem, and more outgoing and social. However, in one of my classes, I'm literrally in the class with the "cool group", I hate using that word, but that's the best way to describe what most of you know what I'm talking about. It's hard to integrate when they're such a closed door and hard to bond with. Regardless, today I was able to make some conversation with the people in my row so hopefully this can lead to a bigger group...but are class is humongous.
Anyway, advice? Ways to break through?
Thanks!

Hey you know, you're right. I realized over the past two days that it doesn't matter at all. I have no obligation to try to become a member of their group, I'm simply have to be myself and take what I want, be friends with who I want to be friends with, and chill with who I want to chill with.
My initial concerns were that I sometimes get "scared" when I'm with a group of people I"m not comfortable with and especially when they already know each other, makes me feel like an outcast. But it really doesn't matter because as long as continue to be real for myself than I have nothing to fear in that class. Thanks for the comment.

Be that awesome guy who seems to always be composed and friendly. You are now the cool group.
