Okay so I'm gonna make my situation as clear cut as possible. I see that solutions for other guys problems is to just "man up" and "be confident". I understand the concept, and I know that's something that I need to do, but I want to know if there's anything else I should do rather than just walk up to her, tell her she's really pretty, and ask her out on a date.
Here's what happened: The other day, I was coming back from an assembly from school. I got back to my area, which was the cafeteria because I have study hall, and the entire school was passing in front of me because you have to go through the cafeteria to go back to the other classes in the school. I was just talking with a few of my friends, when this really pretty girl kinda slowed down to read my "A Day to Remember" band shirt. She then smiles this really cute smile and says "Hey, I like your shirt." and I smile back and go "Thanks!". I really wanted to walk her back to class, but I couldn't leave my area. Anyways, I didn't really think about it until the weekend, when I thought about the girl and realized she was really pretty, and I decided to try to get to know her. I went back to school that Monday, determined to to find out a bit about her from my friend that knows everyone. I explained the situation to him, and he basically tells me that she's one of those "super popular" girls, and that she was out of pretty much every guy in our schools league. Well that only depressed me slightly, and he told me he would help me out with her as much as possible, because he knows her, and he's actually a true bro. Anyways, I'm planning on manning up and talking to her as soon as I see her again, but that's the problem: I don't. The route that I walk doesn't intersect hers, and I don't have any classes with her. I also don't know where she goes for lunch, could be off campus, or somewhere in the lunch room where I don't hang out at. Oh and she's also a grade below me. Don't know if that helps or hurts me. Anyways, the best approach I can think of is simply to go up to her, tell her I think she's really pretty, and then asking her out on a date. I know it's really cliche, but i don't really know anything better to say.
So yeah if you guys could shoot me some suggestions on what to do, that would be greatly appreciated.
