All of you will have that time in your life where YOU will have to be the one who ends a relationship. It will be hard, you will second guess yourself, but if you think the relationship really not worth your energy... Become an unstoppable force, nothing will change your mind then.
Yesterday was my 9 month anniversary. I was going to my girlfriend's friend's birthday house party. My girlfriend was looking forward to this for a couple weeks... the importance of our anniversary and our relationship was forgotten by her. She made no attempt to see me before the party to spend time together... even though i told her if we dont spend more time together, its over. I told her to see me before the party... she said she couldn't leave her friends.
At that point... I was done. Done with putting all this useless effort into a relationship that was obviously not as important to her as it was to me. I gave her an ultimatum... go to the house party and we are over, or meet each other and fix this. After furious arguing, she chose to go to the house party, even as I told her its going to be over.
The next move... Breakup. I just had a sleepless night but I've seen too many boyfriends who chose to stay with their girl because of fear that I knew I couldn't be one of them. They were depressing to look at, and they weren't happy.
Guys, a breakup will seem like a knife that is plunging into the fabric of your life, tearing a giant hole. Of course, it won't feel like that until you know its coming. Know that if relationships are bringing you down or if you are unhappy while nothing has changed for a long time... End it. End it before the fear consumes you and you freeze and burn in a relationship hell.
Peace,
Hutta
