You can open with literally anything, but before recovering from a bad opening, try to do a good opening. Try to understand why you think it's bad in the first place.
During the whole interaction you want to be confident and express yourself with a good vibe. be self amused and filling her with emotions. If I were you, focus on one attribute at a time. Like confidence, then self amusement, etc. Try to set goals and reasonable criteria for success if you really want to get better with girls. If you're having trouble being confident from the start, then all I can say is PRACTICE.
Once you open many times, I'm sure you'll solve your problem yourself .
