As a DJ/Aspiring Producer, I'm always on the hunt for new types of musical influences. Anyone have any good artists they've been listening to? I'm open to all genres (yes, sadly even country)

Check out a new English band called Bastille. Have a look at Alex Clare too if you haven't already, he has some decent stuff.

Don't knock country music until you give it a true chance. I suggest starting with Toby Keith, Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan for more party-oriented country music.
Also, house music is a must. Listen to popular guys like:
-Hardwell
-Zedd
-Avicii
And also give smaller guys a listen too, these are my favourite:
-Project 46
-Dzeko and Torres
-Porter Robinson

I'm big on EDM so people like Hardwell, Zedd & Avicii are known, but with the exception of The Strokes I haven't heard any of these other guys. Got me excited for new musica  |
