Don't be afraid to introduce yourself to people in your classes.

The new guys always seem to have this mysteriousness about them that people (girls especially) are attracted to. Make sure you don't come off as a PUA creep, just relax and make some friends. Keep your body language in check and socialize with EVERYONE.

I don't have any tips, but I just wanted to say damn, that's pretty harsh.

Fresh starts are rare, some people never get the chance to have a fresh start.
Don't think of this as a negative, think of it as an opportunity to take everything you've learned in your life, from reference experiences and negetaive experiences, and try and change things using these past experiences.
Good luck.
