Just wondering
How much do you guys invest into shirts, pants etc?
And how much do you invest into accessories?
Because I'm thinking of completely updating my wardrobe and I'm wondering how much I should be prepared to spend.

All you need is two solid pairs of jeans, around 5-10 good shirts, maybe 20 pairs of socks, a hoodie, some Chuck Taylors , a good belt, and finally some boxer briefs and maybe a couple compression shorts.
So, lets add it all up.
Buy jeans when they're on sale, you can probably get two pairs for 60$. They should either be slim/straight or skinny. I roll with skinny, because they look fucking awesome with some Chuck Taylors, and wearing slim/straight is like playing it safe. But, if you're not quite fit, there is nothing wrong with rolling with some slim/straight jeans. For color, I have one that is dark blue and one that is beige. I bought them at JCP, but I dont care because they make me look sexy af. You can also buy chinos too. I like Chinos.
For shirts, just wear whatever you want as long as it fits really well. Try to stay away from the cookie monster, adventure land, etc. shirts too. And again, MAKE SURE THEY FIT. I wear XS, and that is it, I cannot wear a small. It looks goofy and makes it seem that I have huge shoulders. As for style, I love v-necks, so I just buy a bunch of plain colored ones. You can get them for 5-10$ each if they're on sale. I recommend going to H&M if there is one nearby, but if you cant, don't be afraid to hit up JCPenny.
For socks... well, just buy the cheapest socks you can buy, LOL, unless you wanna look like a fucking idiot and buy those bright colored elite nike socks that you see kids wearing casually.
for hoodies, I recommend you hit up Express Men or Amazon/Ebay. I find that every other place sells shitty ugly cheapo looking hoodies, and I cant afford 70$ northfaces. But then again, Express clothes are very expensive too, but they are worth it. I'd pay 30-50$ on a hoodie, but if you live up north, I'd recommend you invest in one for more.
for shoes, I recommend some good ole chuck taylors. you can't go wrong with them. super durable, you can use them for weightlifting, they're sexy af. I'm an awesome dude so I stick with bright colors. I got myself a red pair because they didn't have blue, but, yeah. I like the bright colors better, but the grey and black ones arent bad either. My red ones were mid-tops, and they were 50$, but you'll find regular low tops for 40$.
I think you can find a belt quite easily. I need them because my skinny jeans fit low on the waist and I dont like having my boxer briefs poppin out like a mofo. I had a friend give me his belt from express, and it's like 40 or 50 bucks, but I dont think you wanna spend that much on one. I have no clue how much an average belt costs. Just get a black or brown leather belt, or if you can find them, you could get one of those loophole belts that you see some pairs of shorts that have on them.
for underwear, just buy boxer briefs, and if you want to splurge, you can pick up a pair of those ones that have that stretchy sports material with cool looking elastic lines with different colors.
So, in all I'd estimate around 270-300$ for all this. But, this is if you were to buy a full closet of new shit. I'm sure you have a hoodie, some socks, a belt, a decent pair of shoes, and maybe a few shirts. So, try and dig up any clothes that you can use.
