To be blunt, the answer to both of your questions is "go say hi".
If you haven't met and talked with any girls yet it's because you're not meeting and approaching any girls.
Make it a point to introduce yourself to three different girls tomorrow, don't know what to say?
"Just walking by and wanted to say hi, what's up? I'm ___________"
It can be as simple as you want it to be.
High school is all about the social network you build. "Social circle" so-to-speak. The more people (and invariably girls) you know, the more parties you will be invited to.
It's as simple as that, go say hi.
