I know this may have been repeated before, but i'm just gonna post for the sake of my specific situation here, aight. The title says it all. I'M SKINNY AF. AND DAMN I WOULD WORK MY ASS OFF TO PUT SOME MEAT ON THIS BONE.I'm a freshman, 5'6 1/2'' at 109 pounds
I run with the cross country team and i've been hitting around 20-25 miles a week, alot more when school starts.
I eat, but i got high metabolism.
I can't do weights, because my family still believes wieghts stunt growth. (I wanna convince them otherwise)
I'm open to any suggestion guys !
I'm ashamed of my skinnyass frame and i'd love to change that
Thanks

If you are doing a shit ton of running that is going to hamper your progress on the weights end of things. Especially if you are really pushing yourself when running and not just doing maintenance. I'm not saying it can't be done, but you're going to really want to make sure your diet, sleep, and recovery protocols are in line.

Yeah that running is actually doing more harm than good, especially when you up the distances soon.
Convict conditioning is fine for now but you need to start lifting as you need to bulk up and bodyweight stuff isn't great for that sort of thing. Find a way to show your family that their belief is a load of bullshit because it really, really is. Then find a good gym with proper bars, a solid squat rack, dips bars and pullup bars; compound lifts are what you need to train as a beginner.
You think you eat a lot but you probably don't, review what you're eating for a few days and post the macros and cals here.

Yeah, the "lifting will stunt your growth" deal is absolute garbage, as DanZy said. There are many scientific studies which show otherwise.
