First Day of High School

    Alright, so I'm starting high school in just over 3 weeks (I'm 14), and on the first day of school, there is going to be a BBQ for lunch, and a dance the first night. I used to be quite an introvert and wouldn't talk to strangers, but over the past 2 years, after switching elementary schools (I'm in Canada, we don't do middle school) I've become a lot more confident, especially when it comes to girls. I've gamed quite a few girls at a couple of dances and at summer camp, filling my phone with numbers, and I understand how to pick up girls. 

    My problem doesn't have to do with picking up these girls, I know I will be able to, I was just wondering if it is actually a good idea to game girls on the first day of high school, during a school dance. Considering I will be going to school with these chicks for the next 4 years. 

    What do you guys think about this? Should I go ahead and get a few numbers (or maybe more than just numbers), or should I just chill with my buddies, and avoid trying to game?

Sounds like it's all about your ego.

If you want to talk to a girl talk to her
If you think it'll impress people and make you become popular - prepare for a harsh reality of people disliking you
Any sense of needing to prove yourself or anything near that, by chatting up girls at a dance, means you have issues with acceptance, and you need to consider that.

I would recommend just having a good time. If that means chatting to girls, then fine, but don't let success with them decide whether the nights been good or not.

Thanks for the reply Sloth, I agree with everything you said. The reason I made this a thread was because I was wondering if it could hurt my reputation hitting on a bunch of girls the first day of school. I'm going to avoid doing that and will talk to a bunch of different people, just not with the intention of hitting on all of the chicks there.

that's bullshit, not fair at all.

anyways, I just started my freshman year like three or four days ago, and sloth is right. Infact, you'll naturally steer away from just walking up to random chicks in high school.

stick with your friends, and start making friends with your cool friend's friends. On the first day I was really nice to all my old girl_friends from middle school because I knew that they'd be glad to introduce their hot friends to me, or if they didn't, I knew that I'd definitely run into them.
Fortunately, things went exactly that way and now I'm meeting new girls and people left and right.

Also, don't psych yourself out for high school either. don't treat it like a big deal.


one more thing: during lunch while I was sitting with some of my friends, and I saw two pretty girls looking for seats, I called them over and introduced myself and all my friends. This worked super well, you might wanna try it. Just make sure the friends you're sitting with aren't all dudes. There needs to be some girls so that they'll be comfortable
