So, there's this party on the 14th. There will be around 100 people but the problem is I know a very small portion of the people who will be there. And there will be a few douchebags. I've told my friend about the party and he said that he will go no matter that he doesn't know anyone. For him, it's the best if you don't know anyone. But I'm wondering whether to go because I know so little people. What would you do in my situation?

go to the party and have fun, no brainer. you'll probably get drunk anyways.

What he said, and your friend's right, it's probably better that you don't know anyone, you won't be so self-conscious when you're doing your thing because you're probably not gonna see any of them again. Plus, if you do make any new friends, that's more people you know at the next party you go to.

I was in this situation soooo much when i was a freshman last year. Go there and right off the bat talk to girls, guys, groups, but don't sit alone talking to the only person you know. You can get a groove going early on if you start being social quickly. As for the douchebags... Who cares, you will be talking to the other 95 people.
