I'm going with this girl to a convention, and she said she would 'get to know me' and then date me if everyone stopped. The con's on Saturday, and I need all the help I can get.

According to her friend, she wants you to man the fuck up and ask her out, or at the very least make a move on her. Keep being flirty and physical with her and then isolate. What this means (if you don't know) is to physically move the two of you away from everyone else and usually either kiss her, make out with her or more. Obviously she wants to go out with you, so if that's not what you want then make that very clear before you do anything major.
