Alcohol recommendations

So me and a few friends from back in the day are gonna get fucked up this weekend. It's my first time (actually getting drunk), so I'm not really educated in what liquor to get but he asked if there's anything I'd want. So far they're getting Bud Light, Jack Daniels, and Four Lokos. Anyone have any recommendations?

Some people have trouble doing shots of whiskey, especially when they're just starting to drink. I call them bitches, but that's just me. Whiskey is my favorite drink. Bacardi is always good, you can take shots of it but I usually use them to mix. Smirnoff is also good. The last two have a bunch of different flavors so it's up to you to look at what sounds good. I'm not a big fan of vodka, so I don't know too many good brands. Also, consider getting cans of beer instead of bottles, if you're looking to shotgun a few. Always fun.

Since this is your first time, I really have to stress taking your time. Learn your limits. Don't drink too much too fast just because your friends are. You do you.

Oh believe me, I've stressed it once or twice that I'm not trying to kill myself, haha. We're not diving into a swimming pool of the stuff.

I'm gonna bring up the shotgunning thing, I actually don't know if they're getting cans or bottles yet. I wanna do some shots, and I don't know much about mixing but I'll bring up Bacardi. I also hear Smirnoff does more than people give it credit for, so why not that too? Thanks.

I'm open to just about anything, if there's any other suggestions.

I suggest drinking beer and playing some games like beer pong or flip cup. Doesn't take long to get drunk drinking beer while playing games.

When I do shots I like to go hard, layered drinks,tequila shots, etc. I'm not sure what shots to do if you don't wanna get completely fucked up.

In my opinion the best liquor out there is fireball whiskey, that shit is smooth as fuck. I'm more of a beer guy myself though and I agree with some of the posters above in that I recommend you get more beer. Doesn't really matter what kind as long as its in a can. This way you can play a bunch of drinking games and since this is your first time getting drunk it will prevent you from getting too drunk too fast as easily as you would off of liquor. Just my recommendation, you should do whatever the fuck you want to do.

I should say, thanks for the help; it was a few days ago, but we ended up getting Bacardi instead of vodka. Oh my God, that shit was strong, and so were the Jack Daniels. We went to Wendy's beforehand and bought iced tea, and I didn't finish mine before we started drinking so they mixed both of them with it. I was feeling it pretty fast with that shit. I had three Bud Lights before that, then after I finished it I had another one, then I started another one that I didn't finish because I got it in my head that I should be taking JD straight (they hid the Bacardi from the other guy at that point, was hilarious). We poured a small amount into the empty Wendy's cup and after the second sip I threw up; admittedly, I didn't really give the last BL time to sit. I was ready to finish the rest of the BLs but everybody fell asleep before me so I said "Fuck it" and did the same. Looking back on it, I probably should've, but I at least found out I'm no lightweight.

I enjoy mixing vodka/whiskey with stuff. Try Bacardi + capri-sun (juice box). that shit is quite good. Then you can do the regular Smirnoff and wash it down with orange juice. Although, for some reason, those hard liquors don't hit me very hard.


As for beer, I'm a big fan of Keystone Light. Try it out sometime

I've never had Keystone, but Bud Light isn't exactly hot chocolate or something either.
