Hi guys, I am new here and just looking for some advice because I am at a loss and I don't have much relationship experience. I have known this girl pretty much all semester and I would say that we are good friends. I am just wondering if you guys think she is interested in me as a potential bf or if I am way in the friend-zone.
A lot of the things that made me think she liked me happened when we were out on a "date" so I will give try and give you some context. She said she needed someone to go with her on a double date with a couple of her friends(movies and dinner). I said yes and then the day that we were going she said I could pick her up early if I wanted, so I did. We waited at the restaurant where we were meeting her friends and talked till they got there.
A the restaurant, we got a rootbeer float, and she wanted to share it even though they gave us two cups( one with rootbeer and ice cream and the other with just rootbeer) and I offered to put half the ice cream in the other cup.
She made a comment about how far I was sitting from her even though it was only like eight inches and one booth side was made for like four people.
The other guy said we should do this again some time and she said yeah, and I don't remember exactly how, but she referred to us as a couple.
After the movie, we were walking around and I had my hands in my pockets and she put her arm through my arm for the rest of the time we were walking.
We went into victorias secret just for fun and she said " this isn't really a good place to go on your first date."
When I dropped her off at her house, I gave her a hug and I said "how was that"(she teases me about giving awkward hugs) and she said "that was perfect."
I asked the other guy that we went out with whos idea it was and he said it was all her idea. So im thinking why would she suddenly need a guy friend to go out with her if she planned it. She even invited me like a week and a half in advance.
The next day I saw her she said that her dad thinks I am gay. I was like WTF? why? she said its because I wasn't nervous like every other guy when I picked her up and because I don't "chase after girls". Then I said "so if I'm not a desperate bitch I'm gay?" Then she says it would be okay with me if you were. I told her I wasn't gay and the next day I asked her if she thought I was gay the day we went out, thinking maybe thats why she was being so friendly but she said the idea hadn't even entered her mind.
Last week I asked her if she still wanted to go get hot chocolate because she had asked me if I wanted to go a while ago but I said I couldn't. She said yes and then she said " and then we could work on our economics stuff"(we are in the same economics class and we had a project we were working on together). Then later she asked if it would be okay if one of her friends(guy) worked on it with us. I said that was fine with me but I'm still kind of pissed my date got turned into a study session. I don't know if that means she wouldn't be comfortable alone with me or what.
Some of the reasons I don't think she likes me
- brought the extra guy
- I was joking about becoming a stripper and she said "I can't you as a stripper". I said "wow that's insulting", then she said "maybe I would want to see more of you if I was attracted to you, but I'm not attracted to you,so.."
- her best friend told me that she likes another guy, but this friend also said she would like to be more than friends with me, but I said lets just be friends, so I don't know if she was is just jealous or something like that.
- she said when I picked her up from her house she noticed me checking her out, and that that seemed weird for a friend.
- I don't notice many IOI's when we're in class above regular friend type things.

- I would say that she and I are both 7's
- I'm not fat or super buff, but I am in pretty good shape.
- I have never had a girlfriend or even kissed a girl before
- we are both seniors in highschool
- she is mormon (could explain the double date/extra guy thing).
- she has had two boyfriends this year but they both only lasted like two or three weeks.
- she has a lot of guy friends compared to most girls
- I have been doing some more kino, and she hasn't recoiled or told me to back off or anything but she might just take that as me being friendly.
- I went to homecoming with her best friend, and we were all in the same "group"
- I am looking for a long-term relationship, not just sex.
- she has told me multiple times that she thinks I'm good looking.
- she has told me multiple times that i haven't "messed up yet." Absolutely no idea what this means, but it sounds positive.
I realize that I am overthinking this, but I think a lot and I don't want to make too much of an obvious move and have her be uncomfortable around me because I don't want to ruin our friendship if she doesn't feel the same way.
