So my birthday's coming up about a month, and I decided to shake things up this year and actually throw a party. I should have a hold around inviting people and shit, I'm on good terms with a lot of people, mostly class and lunch, and I've got 2 hook-ups on alcohol. Only problem is finding a place, I mean this for damn sure can't be at my house; there's never anybody out of the house for a period of time worth writing home about.
A few of my friends told me about this abandoned Kmart near their place, but that is a stretch; what with it being private property, pretty suspicious to scout out, difficult to try and enter undetected, and anything else you can think of is probably true. So yeah, that's likely out of the question. Any ideas?

Idk where you live but throw the party on a beach. It's awesome because there are no parents, cops almost never come over. You can tent there or sleep on the beach or in your car. You can fish or swim... Play music really loud... I mean the options are endless.
If you don't have a beach nearby then try a lake.

1. you need music and speakers to play it 2. you need something to eat and something to drink(you can make it a bring your own beer party) (I find this one the most important) 3. you need to be ready to clean and to deal with shit
have fun

Put it on the internet tell everyone. Project X this shit man!!! Ha, well that'd be kinda cool but I'd like this party to actually happen.Invite me Try renting a public event holder and get dance gear Nah, out the question, because any public place like that would be a bitch to sneak alcohol in, and I couldn't afford one anyway. Plus I'm not really trying to get the folks involved. Idk where you live but throw the party on a beach. It's awesome because there are no parents, cops almost never come over. You can tent there or sleep on the beach or in your car. You can fish or swim... Play music really loud... I mean the options are endless. If you don't have a beach nearby then try a lake. That's a good idea but I live in Long Island, and winter time doesn't show enough mercy for me to throw a party outside. But, ah, I think I'll keep this one in mind for summer provided this one goes well, haha. 1. you need music and speakers to play it 2. you need something to eat and something to drink(you can make it a bring your own beer party) (I find this one the most important) 3. you need to be ready to clean and to deal with shit have fun Yeah, true, and I need to make sure wherever I'm throwing it the speakers (or whatever I'm using) won't pose a problem; the playlists I've got down, figured I'd make 2 separate ones for recent songs and throwbacks, since everyone likes different things. You're right, I almost didn't think about food. BYOB would be more convenient, it'd save me the trouble of using cash on a fuckload of booze, and maybe just use it on food and non-alcoholic shit. Yeah that's partly why it's such an issue finding a place; I need a place sized decently and where cops aren't likely to show up, inside because of the cold ass weather over here. I'm not inviting the entire school but I expect people I don't know too well to show up, I mean I'd be lax with new people as long as it doesn't get out of control but I can't ever expect that shit to go my way so I need to be cautious. Really glad I'm planning this a month in advance.

I don't know about the situation in america for finding a place so I can't give you any advice on that, here it's parents not at home situations most of the time
but as far as for the people and possible problems I can tell you a lot of it depends on that who do you invite and the vibe that is set a gathering of five can make a chaos full of puke broken furniture and making your neighbors threat you to kick your ass (it gave me 6 hours of cleaning my house) but for instance I was on a party this weekend in a 3 room apartment with 16 people in there, with the same conditions(no parents, lots of alcohol and smoking allowed) and the girl that threw the party told me she only had to put empty bottles into the trash, like 15 minutes of cleaning and that's it
I recommend not calling any maniacs and setting the party mode to chill if you're going for a no worries party
