Introduction
The “Poke & Joke Method” is a method for meeting girls using facebook by poking their profile, and joking with the girls who poke you back. If it sounds super lame, well that’s only because of how simple it sounds. This hilarious tutorial explains how being “the creepy facebook” guy can actually be pretty fucking awesome.
This is mostly humor, so I am not advocating that people use this as their primary means to meet new people. If you want to improve your dating life, stop jacking off, playing Xbox, and grow some balls and just talk to girls in real life. This is just how I personally have met and dated many girls in my past, (30-40 meetups) and it’s too funny to keep to myself.
The most common reaction to the idea of “meeting someone from facebook” is that it’s not safe, or that it’s creepy. The idea of meeting a guy in real life that originally messaged you on facebook seems really “weird” and thus gets a reaction.
I find this notion funny when you consider the “normal” ways in which people meet and how creepy and unsafe they actually are. Let’s go over them.
Bar / Club – Places like this are fun, and it’s easy to meet people. However when you really think about it what the hell is more unsafe for a girl? A young girl dresses sexy, wonders into a dark, loud room, full of drunken strangers at night. On top of that, does anyone notice a lot of “social places” seem to require people pump their body full of mind altering substances to calm the nerves over talking to a stranger? So are you really meeting someone or is your drunk self meeting them? How completely retarded is it to say that meeting someone on facebook is “creepy and dangerous” when the people who say that are stumbling drunk in dark crowds as a means to meet people? It’s pure comedy.

Work – This seems normal enough. The only thing creepy about this is how pathetic does a guy’s game have to be to resort to meeting a girl at work? The girls literally can not escape his company – they’re stuck. Sure, sometimes real connections are made but the idea of “co-worker Joe” hovering over a girl for months at work, who’s only near him because she’d paid to be, asking her out? Nothing creepy about that! Hitting on girls at work is like hunting caged animals at a zoo – it works but it’s pretty pathetic when you really think about WHY it works.
Friend of Friend – This one is actually pretty normal. The only creepy thing about it is when people date within their social circle because they’re too lazy or scared to do it any other way. A story comes to mind when 4 friends, 2 who were brothers, all noticed everyone in the room (but me) had slept with the same girl they met at poker night. My friend, my other friend, and two brothers all dated & slept with the same girl. Yeah, nothing creepy about that.
Obviously there are many ways in which people meet, but when considering the top few ways it’s easy to find a little “creepy” in all of them. At the end of the day facebook is social networking website designed for communication between people – so get over it.
