Its easy to approach people at a club or mall and places as such cause you don't ever have to see them again but at school talking to people and getting rejected is a big deal I have to see these people like every day and fucking up can mess up your rep. How can I overcome this feeling. What do I do?

I feel you. Obviously after high school these people won't fucking matter, but it can still be daunting to not be able to talk to everyone for however many years, and it might even change your mentality. Personally what I do is just say fuck it, these people are just like anybody else. Just be yourself (most overused yet universally known to be the best advice one can give) and keep things light. Trust me, this isn't school isn't like in the movies, people will generally talk to you...unless their complete assholes or are awkward themeselves. Set a goal to talk to at least 5 new people tomorrow. It has to be a conversation though, on whatever, so it can't be something like "what time is it?". Good luck, and happy Gaming.

To be honest as long as youre funny no1 will reject you. Plus if youre making youself laugh u wont care about rejection anyway. Ive rarely seen anyone get rejected unless theyre like asking for it. And if you do youre just having fun. Its all about self amusement

so what if you get rejected it's not like you got your fucking arms cut off
just have fun and do what you wish, you'll get a reputation of a guy who is fun and doesn't give a fuck and I can't see what is wrong with that

A lot of assholes are born off of the "don't give a fuck" motto. I won't lie it's a great motto that should be used, to an extent. And that's where the anxiety comes in. It gets confusing knowing where the line is because everyone's tolerance level is different. Just don't be an asshole and you'll be fine. And don't worry, you'll just know when you are starting to act like one. |
