I want to talk to you guys about what is true and what is not. I believe, as I think everyone does deep down, that there is a universal Truth. Something that, while sometimes can get you in a jam, you can always believe in and know is right without a shadow of a doubt.
Here's a picture. Truth, Faith and Experience are on a cliff, 1000 feet high with a ledge leading to safety. Truth walks across the ledge always keeping straight because it's Truth. But Experience wants to find its own way and walks off the cliff and Faith follows. The point is when you follow Truth you will always succeed, but Experience can lead you astray. Experience will tell you how much it hurts, how tired you are. Truth shows you what all the pain is for. Who is your faith following?
I know that the Truth is God, so that's how I'm going to explain this. That may not be your Truth, and that's absolutely fine, I'm not trying to push you to any religion. That's just where my Truth comes from. The Truth, whatever it is, is powerful. Insanely powerful. Goku and Vegeta fused Super Saiyan 3 powerful.
Here's a real example of how powerful "Truth" is. Whether you believe it was because of God or not, remember the story of Paul. Originally he was Saul, and he was famous and infamous for imprisoning and slaughtering Christians for blasphemy. Then, on the way to Jerusalem, he sees Jesus in a vision, he's given the Truth, and goes on to become to greatest evangelist in history. I never realized this, but he went from the Middle East to Asia and Western Europe. That kind of transformation doesn't just happen because of faith or experience. That's the power of Truth.
Enough religious stories though. What does this mean for us? It shows us what is NOT true. In particular, the doubts that we have about ourselves or our goals or what we're doing. They're NOT the Truth. Of everything I know about Truth, those doubts that come to mind, that infiltrate even when we're trying to push them out, all of those I can't do this, she's too hot, I'm never going to get better, they are never true. Every time I've thought that, I've gone back to my Truth and smashed those doubts. I've achieved things I never thought were possible, even with doubts trying to crush me at every corner.
I encourage you ALL to find out what your truth is. Once you find it, hold on to it, and never look away from it. Don't listen to the doubts because they are out and out lies.
This is a strange post, but I'm drinking on a few hours of sleep so forgive me. Take what you can from this post. Let me know if this strikes a nerve, or if you think it's complete crap.
