Alright guys, let's just say...I'm not the tannest person I know. I want to get a tan, not like extreme, just a little darker skin tone. Anyone have any experience?

embrace your whiteness. tanning gives you cancer, and looks fake. as crash can attest, im very pale, but i get it to work for me. so can you. i had a friend who was pale and tanned, she ended up covered in freckles

Ehh don't go to tanning salons, its really bad for your skin. If you can though, go to the beach for a day or two because then not only will you have a tan but a fun story to tell about how you got it!

I'd say tanning salon or a beach other than that I'd really wouldn't know. I'm black already. Here's and idea go up to some hot chick with a nice tan and talk to her about it?

I guarantee I'm more pasty than any of you so I'll just give my two cents here.
I gave tanning a try but it did NOT turn out well. Like Dante said, embrace your whiteness. I actually talk to people quite a lot about how in these days with the ozone, skin cancer, and tanning nightmares having pale skin is actually a health indicator.

Well, I'm not going to be getting all into it, I just want my arms and face to be a liiiiitle darker. So far I've "tanned" twice. About a week ago I was reading a book so I decided I might as well read outside since it was a beautiful sunny day. I put on sunscreen don't worry, contrary to popular belief, you can tan without getting sunburned. Just being outside causes the melanin (chemical) in your skin to react, which yields the darker tone. My dad died of the most severe type of skin cancer, malignant melanoma, 5 years ago so I know what I'm getting into, taking all precautions etc. I listened to music on my back porch for about an hour and a half today, just the 2 days I've dedicated to tanning I'm seeing some results. Apparently I tan really easily.
I don't think I'm going to spend much more time tanning if only because it's fuckin boring. I'm gonna look into those sunless tanning lotions. I've heard about some that have this chemical that keeps your skin tan for about 7-10days, unlike most of them that just wash off in the shower.
So anyways, success I guess, my face and arms are a bit darker now. I wear long pants so I don't really see the point in tanning elsewhere; if a girl is seeing me naked I don't think they are gonna care if I'm super white ;D
