*Some of these concepts and ideas are from RSD's Blueprint Decoded - absolutely mind blowing, I will post about it later*
A lot of people in this community, especially people that lean towards Mystery Method/Indirect game(such as myself), really embrace the idea of having different personalities and different characters in different situations. The polar opposite of this style of thinking is AUTHENTICITY - where you are always being yourself, not an AFC but a charismatic person with value to offer. I am not going to tell you that you have to be COMPLETELY authentic in EVERY way ALL the time, but ultimately, this is a more ideal place to be, and I will get to why that is.
Don't get me wrong, I still think that there is a lot of merit to the idea of different personalities but there are two major traps about this way of thinking that you MUST be aware of. If you find yourself having difficulty being authentic with people on a consistant basis in a setting such as school, pay extra attention.
1.) It is almost impossible to develop TRUE self-esteem while in character
Your self-esteem is based on how you feel about YOURSELF, not how much of a pimp you think one of your characters is. Understand that your character's success WILL make you feel good, hell you may feel great, but that's because your ego is being fed, not your self-esteem. I could write for days as to why your self-esteem is more important than your ego, so just trust me (or watch the Blueprint Decoded ).
2.) Excessive use of characters implies to others and to yourself that you do not think women will like you just for YOU
Every school has that tough guy or that obnoxious guy that is always putting on a show for people. It is generally accepted that these people are not confident with themselves and that they have other issues deep down. Have you ever considered that the same may be true for your special PUA identity? This identity may help you achieve success with women, but it will foster the belief that you are not good enough on your own, a belief that will make your inner game crumble.
If anything in this post has really hit home, I really suggest going out there and trying to be as authentic as possible. It will take some calibration but in the end you will be much better for it. And if this interests you, I fully reccommend that you check out The Blueprint Decoded, the best PUA product on the market.
