Breathing has a lot to do with developing a deep voice. I mean... sounds simple, we all know how to breath right? Hope so, if not you have had 15+ years to learn lol. Anyway.... This is the correct way to breath.
You should breath deeply in and let the air into your DIAPHRAM. Not your chest, try to fill your stomach up with air each breath.
This will create extra bass in your voice. It's also healthier.

This is what they tell you to do to calm down also. It slows your heart rate down and clears up your head. They tell singers, and well all musicians, to breath this way.

It's too deep. Breathing like that in everyday life will make me look like an idiot.

The one problem with this is that if you have really tight abs you may not get the breath deep enough. Thats why all the opera singers are really big, because they dont have the stomach muscles concstricting around their diaphragm.

It's too deep. Breathing like that in everyday life will make me look like an idiot. You dont have to make it super deep... the main point is to breathe with your diaphram.

It's too deep. Breathing like that in everyday life will make me look like an idiot. Unless you're yawning or something, people do not pay attention to how other people breathe. If you're worried about someone thinking bad about you or judging you, you're assuming that they're higher value. It's a problem that's manifested in me too, just in different ways and I'm trying to work on it myself.

I found the best way to not worry about other people judging you is to do something or wear something ridiculous. I used to be very self conscious but as soon as I started peacocking and people started to ridicule the way I dress it was weird, I just didn't care and their ridicule actually boosted my confidence. Might not work for the rest of you, but if you don't, peacock, it helps.

Yell a lot so you draw attention you yourself and you will learn to just let go what ppl think.
