Dude, i breathe with my diaphragm without thinking about it now. after 3 days, it's automatic and now i dont have the "I havent talked in a few hours, my voice is low" thing going on any more. =] Still not automatic for me.. I start to breathe with my diaphragm and then I forget...

I start to breathe with my diaphragm and then I forget... Yeah, I still haven't gotten it down entirely, but today in drama, I remembered to do it just before a monologue. I'm not sure if it'll ever become automatic for me but as long the idea pops in my head at some point during a pickup, it will at least be useful. Perhaps I should make another cellphone or iPod text file about this...

If you have the right body language, you'll automatically breathe with your diaphragm. If you have poor body language and force the diaphragm, your ribs will grind on your lungs and you'll fuck your body up.

my chorus teacher says to breath in down and out, so your chest shouldn't be expanding, your gut should. your chest/rib cage needs to be off of your lungs.
